Prescribed Celebs
Linking back to the past food, eating, waste ideas, i began to look into different ways addiction can be interpreted. The consumerised product, the way celebrities are valued and presented to us daily. Therefore i felt the concept of addiction could be provocatively put forward to communicate how the celebrity culture is affecting us both mentally and psychically like drugs do to many people. Its a simple play on the link between celebrity culture and its shallow nature, it could be built into a mini collection, full of all the freaky tablets containing the chemicals which allow these individuals to work. Also relates to the value of celebrities and this could be used refer to weight, cost, amount etc etc for a artistic response.

ReplyDeleteits also just a statement on this crazy pill taking habit we ve develloped in western world. watched good doc dealing with problems like that in america, perspription cheating etc. also u know there is steroids to build ur body up to look like ur idols/celebs. this is awesome. GAGAformin
we could make people take tables when they go in (placebos obviously). luv it.
also could play with the descriptions. side effects include: loss of dignity, moral decay etc
maybe more specific things to certain celebrity
like side effects include: possible production of self taped home porn for cheap publicity.
also just thought..all these celebs that hav recently died from overdosing mostly on perscription drugs....nother good link.
ReplyDeleteyeah man im thinking imagine if their were lots of boxes with all different types stacked, messed all over, would be like a realisation exploration adventure, loving the descriptions stuff, i initially thought it could be like food labels or that similar thing with strong bold statements, it stems from really wanting something with type and words. Their is much more to come indeed, i really had many ideas when i watched this program with katie price. i mean also botox is mental too its crazy . we have to do something with that i thing. Keep posting anything which has character, love the hair business and actually the lolly thing will work the way you did it, haha, im thinking it will require a lot of biting and licking haha.
