Maybe a little way from naturalism, but i felt it was appropriate. This looks into the connective parts of the lifestyle culture and how little pieces can make a whole thing, It has links to the form of lego, mechanical forms and robots, ive illustrated it to present the way we are all made of bits to make the whole thing, became interested in how we are all made from small details.  Within these works are illustrations revealing the parts or some expanded. As i say living in a detail bit culture well possibly.

Gloss Pops

Addiction,obsession,idolisation all words to associate with the celebrity way of culture. Importantly these words can relate to the system celebrities work in to attract and maintain their knownship to others worldwide. Therefore from this i have began to look into ways of interpreting this love visually and somehow refer to objects that we desire on a daily basis. For example sweets,ice cream, chocolate all have a significant relation to how celebrities are adored by millions. The connection between these two is that they always serve a aesthetic function and by transferring this purpose to the way celebrities are valued. To make this possible i have visualised the celebrity pose in a sweet like manner. to develop this concept further we could use a anything in reference to a celebrity and pour treacle or honey over it constantly to over decorate and create a very bold statement to how this culture is presented to us.

Edged Celebs

Creating a layering process of rock and dirt on the human form to present naturalistic growth  over plasticated decoration. It's a visual contrast which deals with the matter of beauty today and the way we look at it.Also it reminds me of fashion which deals with protection and shielding, and this brought me also to the concept of preservation once more and how the body is kept.

Range of outfits, playing with a tribalist theme, again using natural materials to create a contrast to the artificiality of today.

just came across this site. http://www.understandingduchamp.com/ really nicely done in a lot of detail and dedication exploring duchamps personal history. very good stuff there. a lot of pieces i didnt know. also mentions DALI's Rainy Taxi (a rain filled cab occupied by mannequins and thousands of living snails). turns out that piece was a huge influence on damien hirst.

so i went to look for some more info on this piece, it reminded me of the boxes we talked about, and found this:
